PANCRASE - 10/06/2012: Rematch Between Ishii And Matsunaga Set For October

Pancrase revealed all fight cards of the upcoming October show.

This show is going to be held at Sinjuku FACE, where the capacity is little over 500, therefore, as usual, all bouts are going to be two five-minute round bouts and the winners are going to be considered for Pancrase's main shows taking place at Differ Ariake, a bigger venue.

There is going to be seven pro MMA bouts and five amateur bouts where the winners will be granted with Pancrase's pro license.

However, it doesn't mean the fans are going to get to see only young up and comers in this show.

There are fights between two ranked fighters, like a flyweight bout between Tiger Ishii and Yoshihiro Matsunaga.

Ishii is a striker who has fought in various promotions. RISE, Shoot Boxing, Shooto, and this is going to be his fourth Pancrase appearance.

Matsunaga is also a striker. He is won Real Fighting Karate-do Championships (Under 60 kg) in both 2008 and 2009.

These two met in January of this year at Differ Ariake.

At this fight, Ishii's strikes sliced Matsunaga's forehead and the fight was stopped by the doctor at little less than two minutes into the fight.

So this is going to be a rematch, and just like their last encounter, the fans are expecting to see them exchanging leathers.
