After two years of anticipation it is finally time for ADCC Worlds champion Braulio Estima to make his MMA debut Friday night at TFC 24.  The event takes place at the Memorial Hall in Kansas City with a live broadcast on AXS TV.

Estima won gold at the ADCC Worlds in 2009 in both the -88kg and absolute divisions, a feat he followed up with a defeat of Ronaldo Souza in the 2011 ADCC Worlds.  Estima was signed to fight in Shine Fights back in May 2010 but with the dissolution of that company his MMA debut was put on hold until now.  Chris Holland makes an interesting opponent at 5-3 with all five wins by KO/TKO, his most recent win over Phil Baroni being the win that garnered him the most attention so far.

The show is actually headlined by UFC vet Anthony Johnson vs. Esteves Jones.  After going 7-4 in the UFC Johnson was released in January, following up with a unanimous decision over David Branch at TFC 22 in May.  Jones took two losses to KOTC champion Tony Lopez in 2011 but turned around with a TKO of Deutsch Pu’u in March.  Both are known for their striking with most of both fighters’ wins being by KO/TKO.
