Aaron Cerda earned the biggest win of his career Saturday night with a TKO over WEC vet Frank Gomez in the main event of Jackson’s MMA Series 9 in Albuquerque.  This win was especially impressive considering as the promotion’s name implies it is put on by Jackson-Winkeljohn MMA with Gomez being a Jackson’s fighter, Cerda a late replacement for Mikey Gomez.

Like AFC from close to ten years ago JMMAS may be owned by a team and field mostly fighters from that team but the intent is to give the fighters competition, not padded records.  That being said Jackson-Winkeljohn fighters went 4-1 on the main card with Gomez being the only loss for the team.  In particular Hunter Tucker stood out as he increased his pro record to 4-0 with a rear-naked choke over Nate Patterson who had previously defeated two Jackson-Winkeljohn fighterson JMMAS shows.  Nick Gonzalez, Emily Peters-Kagan, and Robbie Guiterrez also picked up wins for the team.

The event was webstreamed live as a pay-per-view to fans outside a 100 mile radius on ustream.tv, no word is available on replays.
