Atlantic City-based Cage Fury Fighting Championships makes their Delaware debut this weekend, another way to look at this show is the first significant show in that state.  CFFC 17 takes place at the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Delaware with a live pay-per-view webcast at GoFightLive (www.gfl.tv).

Aung La NsangAung La NsangIn the main event regional hero Aung La Nsang faces Jason Louck.  Louck’s only fight in the past year was a loss but it was to UFC vet Ryan Jensen while his overall record is 15-9.  Nsang in the past year has gone 2-2 with the loss to Sam Oropeza being by a controversial ref stoppage (see archives), his most recent being a TKO win against Jesus Martinez in Nsang’s Bellator debut.

Michael WilcoxMichael WilcoxCo-headlining the card is Michael Wilcox vs. Ray Elliot, a battle of two fighters both looking for experience.  Wilcox shows promise with his wrestling if not his standup so far with a record of 2-1 since he started professional MMA last December.  Elliot at 39 years old and a pro record of 0-1 appears to be on is last realistic shot to make a name for himself.
