ALL 14 BOUTS OFFICIAL FOR STAR-STUDDED WOMEN’S MMA EVENT

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Oct. 5, 2012)
– All 14 bouts, including the atomweight (105 pounds) main event and first-ever Invicta Fighting Championships world title bout between Jessica Penne (9-1) of Laguna Hills, Calif. and undefeated Naho "Sugi Rock" Sugiyama (8-0) of Kyoto, Japan, were made official today for the Invicta FC 3: Penne vs. Sugiyama women’s Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event tomorrow/Saturday, Oct. 6 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, live on InvictaFC.com.

The ferocious, 29-year-old Penne weighed in at 104.5 pounds while Sugiyama, a 34-year-old champion of Japanese women’s MMA promotion JEWELS, weighed in at 103.5 pounds.

LaRosa and PortoLaRosa and PortoWomen’s MMA pioneer Tara LaRosa (21-2) of Woodstown, N.J. weighed in at 127.5 pounds, 1.5 pounds above the cutoff weight for her flyweight (125 pounds) matchup with Sao Paulo, Brazil’s Vanessa Porto (14-5), who weighed in at 125 pounds. Porto gained weight and re-weighed in at 127 pounds.
