From Resurrection Fighting Alliance:
LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) is pleased to announce that there will be another exciting lightweight bout taking place at RFA 4 - Yvel vs. Pe De Pano on Friday, November 2nd. The bout will pair two-time RFA winner James Krause (16-4) against undefeated Brazilian prospect Guilherme Trindade (8-0). The bout will be on the main card of RFA 4 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Krause fights out of Grind House MMA in Lee's Summit, Missouri with two-time Olympic Team Alternate wrestler Eric Akin and UFC flyweight fighter Tim Elliott. He has won five of his last six bouts, which includes a pair of wins inside the RFA cage. Earlier this year, Krause also participated on the 15th season of the UFC's hit reality show The Ultimate Fighter, which was televised live on FX. Krause will now look to build on his four-fight win streak by welcoming in another former welterweight in Guilherme Trindade.
"I had a couple of opponents fall through, so Trindade is the third guy I have started getting ready for," Krause explained. "I don't see him being a boring fighter at all. All of his fights have been exciting. He has a lot of KO's and has finished everyone he has fought. I really look forward to welcoming him to America. I also look forward to returning to Vegas. It's the fight capital of the world and shows I'm doing something right. I want people to see my skills."
Trindade is an undefeated Brazilian prospect from the famed Black House MMA camp, who has finished all eight of his opponents. After making his professional MMA debut last year, Trindade won all seven of his bouts in 2011 in impressive fashion. He won five bouts via KO or TKO, while submitting the other two. In Trindade's first bout of 2012, he destroyed Jean dos Santos with a highlight reel Flying Knee knockout victory at Octagon FC 3 in Brazil.
After the win, the Octagon FC welterweight champion decided to take his talents stateside as a member of Black House MMA in Los Angeles, California. It is there that Trindade decided to drop to lightweight for his American soil debut, while honing his MMA skills under the tutelage of Rafael Cordeiro and Kenny Johnson.
"It feels awesome," stated an elated Trindade. "I've been waiting a long time to fight in the U.S. and now it's finally happening. I checked out footage on James Krause and I think it will be a really good fight. I will try to keep it on the feet and I think James will too, but if he takes it to the ground I will be ready there as well."
RFA 4 is set to be headlined by a light-heavyweight showdown pitting former UFC and PRIDE star Gilbert "The Hurricane" Yvel against former UFC and ADCC star Marcio "Pe De Pano" Cruz. The co-main event will feature two former UFC lightweight stars, as Tyson Griffin meets Efrain Escudero. These fights and more will take place at the Dallas Event Center inside Texas Station Gambling Hall & Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
