John Howard continued his climb back to the UFC as he picked up his third win post-Zuffa with a TKO over Scott Rehm at CES MMA August 3rd.  Howard made an impression in the UFC back in 2009 into 2010 but a three-loss skid to Jake Ellenberger, Thiago Alves, and Matt Brown ended his first UFC run.  Instead of returning to CFFC and ROC where Howard first built his career the Boston fighter instead has turned to local shows, first CFA where he defeated Dennis Olson then CES where he defeated Todd Chattelle and now Rehm.  Howard now advances to 17-7 overall while Rehm, said to be an old training partner of Howard, drops to 6-6.

In the co-main event WEC vet Mike Campbell picked up a hard-won decision over BFC and Strikeforce vet Don Carlo-Clauss.  Clauss seemed to be turning around his career with wins so far this year in CZ 40 and BFC 68 while Campbell since defeating Yves Edwards in Moosin has been content to stay with CES where he is now 3-2, 11-4 overall.
