Elaina Maxwell has been forced out of her scheduled match at Invicta Fighting Championship 3. Danielle West will now step in and face Julia Budd on the card that takes place this Saturday at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan.

According to a variety of reports, Maxwell suffered a concussion in training that will prevent her from fighting. She is currently riding a three-fight winning streak since losing to Shayna Baszler in 2010.

West will bring a 4-3-1 record into the cage this weekend. Her biggest accomplishment to date came in 2011 when she drew with undefeated Japanese fighter Rin Nakai at Pancrase Impressive Tour 9. The English fighter has fought all over the world including Japan, Sweden, Russia, Denmark, The Netherlands and of course her home country. This contest will be her U.S. debut.

Budd spent her entire career in Strikeforce before making her Invicta debut earlier this year. She went 2-2 under the Strikeforce banner with victories over Shana Nelson and standout kickboxer Germane de Randamie. In her last fight, Budd defeated Elina Nilsson via first-round TKO.

In the main event, Jessia Penne and Naho Sugiyama will square off for the Invicta's inaugural atomweight title.
