Xande Ribeiro invades Tahiti

Multiple times World Absolute Champion Alexandre "Xande" Ribeiro is in Tahiti to compete in the Invade Tahiti Grappling event. The event coincides with a World Championship Tour Surfing event, the Billabong Tahiti Pro, so there are lots of top surfers along with top BJJ'ers in the tropical island.

Other notables for the Invade Tahiti event are Mike Fowler and Clark Gracie. Below is a glimpse on "Xande's" activity while in Tahiti, courtesy Jeff "JD" Doner:

"Wednesday night World Champion Xande Ribeiro flew into Tahiti for the Invade Tahiti grappling event. On Thursday morning he came down Teahupo'o (site of the Billabong Pro surf contest) to get into the groove of the Tahitian land, we did a walk to a waterfall and blessed ourselves. Then late on we went to Papara and trained for hours with the local BJJ school. Xande looks to be in good shape for Saturday's tourney'
