Legacy Fighting Championship 12 to feature heavyweights DJ Linderman and Dale Mitchell

Legacy Fighting Championship has added a heavyweight contest between D.J. Linderman and Dale Mitchell to their upcoming event. The card, which takes place July 13 at the Arena Theater in Houston, will air live on AXS TV.

Linderman has made appearances for Bellator Fighting Championships and Cage Warriors Fighting Championship. Last year, he took part in Bellator's inaugural light heavyweight tournament. In the first round, he defeated favored Raphael Davis before falling to Richard Hale in the semifinals. In his last fight, "Da Protégé" defeated Mike Hayes to win the Cage Warriors FC heavyweight title.

Mitchell enters this fight with a paltry 5-4 record. However, his career mark does not really tell the whole story. He is currently riding a four-fight winning streak. In his last fight, he defeated Tony Melton at Immortal Kombat Fighting.

In the main event of Legacy Fighting Championship, UFC veteran Will Campuzano will meet Bellator veteran Chad Robichaux for the promotion's vacant flyweight title. AXS TV is the new name for HDNet. The company has pledged to continue their support for MMA.
