Derrick Lewis may not have made much of an impression in his sole fight in Bellator but last Friday he not only won the Legacy Fighting Championship title, he did so by handing Jared Rosholt his first loss ever.  LFC 132 took place August 17th at the Dallas Convention Center with a live broadcast on AXS TV.

Rosholt dominated the first round with wrestling but in the second seemed to run out of gas with a leg kick about half-way through the round being his final scoring.  Following a referee standup Lewis started to unload on the tiring Rosholt, scoring a knockdown followed by a TKO for the win, his seventh by KO/TKO.  Lewis’s ankle was injured in the bout causing him to be propped up by cornermen to accept the heavyweight belt adding some drama if raising questions regarding his next fight.

Rosholt wasn’t the only fighter to suffer their first loss as Evan Cutts finally took one at the hands of Sean Spencer, or more specifically the judges who awarded the decision to Spencer.  The entire fight was back-and-forth with Cutts having a clear advantage in grappling while Spencer scored with punches.

LFC hold a show August 25th however it is an all-amateur card.  The next pro card takes place September 14th while the last show of the year is November 16th.
