Locked in the Cage XI: Cottone vs Inskeep
Sat Oct 6 7:00PM ET

LOCKED IN THE CAGE 11 IS GOING TO FEATURE COTTONE VS. INSKEEP AND CRESSMAN VS. DALTON THIS SATURDAY OCT 6!!!
Philadelphia, PA -- Locked in the Cage (www.Lockedinthecage.com) have announced their full card for Locked in the Cage XI on Oct. 6, 2012 in New Kensington at the brand new 'Locked in the Cage Arena' (3824 Jasper St). Current Battle Cage Xtreme Flyweight Champion Nick Cottone (7-2) will go one on one with the always exciting and tough Brandon Inskeep in a bout that will crown the inaugural Locked in the Cage Flyweight Champion.

The co-main event will feature Daddis Fight Camps Jeff Cressman (4-3) as he takes on the Muay Thai expert and Revolution Academy's Justin Dalton (6-5) in a Number 1 Contender's bout for the vacant Locked in the Cage Bantamweight Championship.

"I'm breaking down barriers in MMA for the local scene in the public eye. History is going down October 6th at the Locked in the Cage Arena." ,said Locked in the Cage CEO Fran Evans Jr. "I'm getting butterflies like I did when I used to fight myself. All these fights from top to bottom should be fight of year candidates. Nobody that comes to Locked in the Cage 11 on October 6th will be disappointed."

Nick Cottone is 7-2 and has a pretty impressive list of victims on his record. Cottone has beaten the likes of UFC Bantamweight and Flyweight Louis "Goodnight" Gaudinot (6-2) and "Kid Thunder" Tuan Pham (4-5). A title win over a very game Inskeep could shoot him into a spotlight shined by the UFC.

"Cottone is no joke at Flyweight. He's fought against a couple bigger guys at Bantamweight and lost, but at Flyweight this kid is a force to be reckoned with." began Evans. "We're definitely excited to have Cottone back on a Locked in the Cage card. Cottone is a very talented fighter and certainly has the skills to make it into the UFC. Then again, Brandon Inskeep is no pushover as well. He's had some very impressive wins himself, and pretty much all of his losses were against some very tough opponents. I could definitely see this fight going either way."

The co-main event, will feature two extremely exciting fighters in Jeff Cressman and Justin Dalton. Cressman, a Locked in the Cage veteran, is currently on a two fight winstreak. "My prediction for this fight, is to come in there and fight hard. I plan to win. I never go into a fight thinking I'm going to lose." Cressman continues, "A dedicated and driven Jeff Cressman is someone nobody wants to get in the way of. I can tell Justin, this is going to be a tough fight. This isn't going to be an easy fight for you. Be prepared for a battle."

Dalton has trained all over the country, most recently at the Revolution Academy. Dalton has trained Muay Thai since he was a young child, and it shows in his fights winning 5 of his 6 via Knockout or Technical Knockout, but he has been working on his ground game as of late. Dalton says, "I'm both mentally and physically prepared for whatever the fight brings. My opponent [Cressman] is a well established grappler and is a great fighter, but I'm ready for anything and everything he decides to do. My prediction is I will win wherever the fight goes. Whether I Knock him out, submit him, or win a decision I'm coming out on top."

Other pro fights include rising prospect, Brazen Boxing & MMA's Tom Backman (1-0) vs. James Carrow (2-0); and a New York vs. New Jersey battle, as well as their professional debuts between Kenny Rivera and Daniel Carbonel.

Additionally, Locked in the Cage XI on Oct. 6 will feature a stacked amateur undercard headlined by an Amateur Locked in the Cage Welterweight Title fight between Stephfond Ewins (4-0) and Randy "Rude Boy" Brown (2-0).

Rumble in the Cage 46
Sat Oct 6 9:30PM ET

Western Canada's premier cage fighting event returns on October 6 as Rumble in the Cage presents "RITC 46" at the South Pavillion, Exhibition Park in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada with 15 exciting bouts. Rumble in the Cage is a breeding ground for the international promotions and "RITC 46" will showcase some of the rising amateur and professional mixed martial artists soon to hit the national scene.

In the main event, hometown fighter Tim "The Chin" Tamaki (12-21) battles Oregonian Eben Kaneshiro (14-9) in what is sure to be a barnburner. Tamaki has fought all over Canada and brings with him a style that has made him a fan favorite wherever he fights. Tamaki's record is chalk full of victories via KO or submission and because of his aggressive style, he has been known to lose in these ways too. One thing you will always get in a fight with "The Chin" is a nonstop action packed fight where someone most likely is getting stopped. Tamaki's opponent Kaneshiro is a fixture in the Northwest MMA scene and is looking to bounce back from a short losing skid. Kaneshiro has been in the ring with the likes of UFC vets Urijah Faber and Evan Dunham so he is used to stepping up to the spotlight. Kaneshiro is a strong grappler and also enjoys KO power in both hands so it should be a great fight when both of these high risk-high rewards fighters step into the RITC cage as the main! event.

In the co-main event, Sean "Mercenary" Merkl (1-3) fights Jason "Flash" Gorny (4-8). Merkl has fought three times in the RITC cage. Merkl has never seen the second round in any of his 4 fights so this bout should have fireworks from the opening bell. Gorny will have a distinct experience advantage inside the cage come fight night. Look for Gorny to test Merkl's cardio and try and bring the fight into rounds two and three where Gorny can test Merkl's endurance. But that is easier said than done as Merkl has proven in all of his fights he likes to make the most of each second and try and make things happen from the word go. Don't blink in this fight as it could be over quickly.

Don't miss the latest installment as Rumble in the Cage, Western Canada's most prolific MMA organization, presents "RITC 46" on October 6, exclusively on GFL.tv. See the top pros in Canada fight on the toughest proving ground in the Great White North. Order it NOW!
