Former Pride FC champion Takanori Gomi is reportedly fighter TUF winner Mac Danzig at UFC on Fuel TV 6. Danzig broke the news of the contest on his Twitter account on Monday. The card takes place Nov. 10 at CotaiArena in Macau.

Gomi was widely considered the best lightweight fighter on the planet during his reign in Pride FC. However, since signing with the UFC in 2010, the "Fireball Kid" is only 2-3. He UFC victories have come over Tyson Griffin and Eiji Mitsuoka.

Between 2004-2004, Gomi lorded over the lightweight division. During that stretch he defeated the likes of Ralph Gracie, Luiz Azeredo, Tatsuya Kawajiri and Jens Pulver. He began to drop off after the fall of Pride. Under the Sengoku banner, he dropped back-to-back fights to Satoru Kitaoka and the relatively unknown Sergey Golyaev.

Many wondered if Danzig was on his way out of the UFC after he dropped three-fights in a row back in 2009. Since then, he has managed to stay afloat by alternating wins and losses in the world's biggest promotion. In his last fight, he bested fellow TUF winner Efrain Escudero via unanimous decision.

Danzig reached the finals of "The Ultimate Fighter: Team Hughes vs. Team Serra" with victories over Joe Scarola and John Kolosci (twice). In the finals, he submitted Tommy Speer with a first-round rear-naked choke.

In the main event of UFC on Fuel TV 6, Cung Le will try to put on a Sanshou display against former UFC champion Rich Franklin.
