The UFC has officially announced that Matt Riddle will fill in for Stephen Thompson against Besam Yousef at UFC 154. The card takes place Nov. 17 at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Earlier this month news broke that Thompson had been forced out of the contest. The kickboxer injured his knee in training and will not be able to compete.

Riddle's last victory has been changed to a "no contest." At UFC 149, the TUF 7 veteran submitted Chris Clements with a standing head and arm choke. However, after the event, the Calgary Combative Sports Commission announced that the fighter tested positive for marijuana. In addition to the result change, Riddle as also suspended for 90 days. However, that suspension will be over in time for UFC 154.

The Xtreme Couture fighter began his professional career in the UFC after a stint of the seventh season of "The Ultimate Fighter." He holds a 6-3 record with victories over DaMarques Johnson, Dan Cramer and Dante Rivera.

Yousef signed with the UFC earlier this year. He entered his debut against Simeon Thoresen with a perfect 6-0 record comprised of three submissions and two knockouts under The Zone FC banner. In his debut, he submitted to the top Norwegian prospect via rear-naked choke.

The main event of UFC 154 will be a welterweight unification bout. Champion Georges St. Pierre will return to action against interim champion and former WEC champion Carlos Condit.
