(Forbes working for the finish)
MMAFighting.com has reported that a middleweight fight featuring Ryan Jensen
and Jesse Forbes will soon be announced for UFC 114. The card is scheduled to
take place May 29 at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas.
Jensen is in the midst of a second stint with the UFC. After going 0-2 in 2007,
he returned in 2008 and has gone 1-2 with his lone win coming over Steve
Steinbeiss. In January up and coming prospect Mark Munoz defeated Jensen in the
first round. Overall in MMA Jensen is 14-6.
Forbes joined the UFC after taking part in the third season of “The Ultimate
Fighter.” With only one fight under his belt, he made his promotional debut and
dropped a fight to Matt Hamill. After the loss the Arizona Combat Sports
product put together a 10-2 record and returned to the UFC in January. In his
return fight he fought to a split decision loss against Nick Catone.
Headlining UFC 114 is the long awaited matchup between former UFC light
heavyweight champions Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. The two were
featured as coaches during the tenth season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” but they
never fought due to Jackson’s budding movie career.
