The original main event for One Fighting Championship's debut has been resetfor the promotion's third event. Eduard Folayang will take on Ole Laursen onthe card, which takes place March 31 at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang,Singapore.
Folayang was originally slated to face Laursen in the main event on One FC"Champion vs. Champion." However, Laursen pulled out of the bout withan injury. The URCC champion instead fought A Sol Kwon in what turned out to befight of the night. Since then Folayang forced Laursen's teammate WadsonTeixeira to submit to elbows at UCC Cebu 7, which brought his overall record to11-1.
Laursen made his One FC debut in the main event of "Battle of Heroes"against Feipe Enomoto. The two traded strikes for most of the first two rounds,but late in the second Enomoto landed a head kick and submitted Laursen with arear-naked choke. The loss stopped a five-fight winning streak for Laursen."Iron Fist" began his career as a kickboxer and even fought in K-1before converting to MMA in 2006.
One FC 3 will mark the first card featuring fighters from Dream. The twopromotions announced a partnership back in November that will include fightersharing. Dream veteran Melvin Manhoef will take on former Strikeforce lightheavyweight champion Renato Sobral. Also, Masakazu Imanari will take on risingbantamweight Kevin Belington.
