According to media sources Bellator Fighting Championships has signed Russian prospect Magomed Saadulaev.

Saadulaev has spent the majority of his career fighting at welterweight, but he is expected to drop to lightweight for his stateside debut. According to a report from MMAJunkie, Saadulaev will most likely make his debut during Bellator's sixth season in a non-tournament bout.

The Peresvet FT fighter made his MMA debut in 2008. Since then, he has built a 14-1 record as a professional MMA fighter. His lone loss came against highly regarded Icelandic prospect Arni Isaksson. Since 2009, Saadulaev has fought exclusively for the ProFC promotion. In his last fight, he scored a guillotine-choke submission over Laszlo Soltesz at ProFC 37.

Bellator's lightweight champion Michael Chandler will defend his belt against the winner of the season-six light weight tournament. The field includes Thiago Michel, Rene Nazare, J.J. Ambrose, Brent Weedman, Rick Hawn, Ricardo Tirloni, Patricky Freire and Lloyd Woodard.
