Johannesburg (South Africa) – Africa’s biggest and best mixed martial arts show is back in less than two weeks! On Friday 2 March, the Carnival City Big Top Arena will erupt with excitement as EFC AFRICA 12 pits the continent’s finest warriors against each other. The main event of the evening sees Jeremy ‘Pitbull’ Smith challenge reigning champion Garreth ‘Soldierboy’ McLellan for the EFC AFRICA middleweight title. 11 more hard-hitting bouts await in this revolutionary combat sport event!

How to watch EFC AFRICA 12:

• Live event – all 12 bouts: Carnival City’s Big Top Arena provides a superbowl experience straight out of Vegas, with unparalleled view, sound, lighting and atmosphere. In 2011, the Big Top Arena was voted best venue by fans! Tickets for the live event are still available at Computicket www.computicket.com. Doors open at 6pm, first fight starts at 7pm. First interval after fight four (van Niekerk vs Momah), event resumes at 20:45. Second interval after fight eight (Donavin Hawkey vs Danie van Heerden), event resumes at 22:30 for final four main card bouts.

• Nu Metro – all 12 bouts: For an unmatched larger than life audio-visual experience, look no further than EFC AFRICA’s live nationwide broadcast to Nu Metro cinemas. See the action as it happens at Hyde Park, Bedford Centre, The Glen, Canal Walk, V&A Waterfront, Pavilion, Menlyn Park, Loch Logan, Riverside, Klerksdorp, Walmer Park, Montecasino, Clearwater Mall, Brightwater Commons, Boardwalk, Grandwest, Emperors Palace, Hatfield Plaza, N1 City, North Park Mall, Worcester, Benoni Lakeside Mall and Galleria.

View EFC AFRICA 12’s first two undercard fights at no charge, then purchase the remaining six undercard fights for R95, and four main card fights for R125, or purchase the entire undercard and main card combined for R195. Once purchased, fights can be viewed as many times as you like within 24 hours. Fights will be available for purchase before, during and after the event takes place.

Weigh-in for EFC AFRICA 12 takes place on Thursday 1 March from 2pm at the Carnival City Mardi Gras Theatre. Once again, weigh-in is open to the public and free drinks and snacks will be served. Come down to support your favourite athletes and add to the electric atmosphere! Prizes will also be awarded to clubs that bring the most supporters.
