Capping a rather international weekend the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts’ 9th show was aired live on AXS TV with lightweight champion Rob Sinclair retaining his title.  BAMMA 9 took place September 15th at the Wembley Arena in London.

For the first two rounds of the main event Sinclair exploded on UFC vet Andre Winner with dirty boxing techniques.  Winner started to turn the tables in round 3 but struggled to mount an offense until round 5 when he knocked down the champion and rained down standing strikes.  In the end two judges saw it 49-46 and 48-47 for Sinclair, one saw it 48-47 for Winner.  Sinclair now advances to 12-2 with five wins in a row, Winner is now 2-1 post-UFC.
