(July 27th.12) Europe’s leading Mixed Martial Arts promotion, BAMMA, is proud to announce a Light Heavyweight fray to the BAMMA 10 card at London Wembley on 15th September, between Sam ‘Blam’ Mensah and Mike ‘Nightmare’ Neun.

BAMMA 10 is to be live televised on 5*, with highlights to be broadcast on Channel 5. Internationally, the event will be broadcast live on HDNet (AXS TV) in the US, The Fight Network in Canada, Esporta in Brazil, Red Media in Russia, Setanta in Africa and TDN in Latin America.

Bristol’s Sam ‘Blam’ Mensah (2-1-0) carried an unblemished record at Amateur and Pro up to his BAMMA 9 loss against the more experienced Rab Truesdale. The Team Trojan fighter has a history of bee-lining to stop his opponent; and most of his wins have been scored in the first round, within times that include 37 seconds and 45 seconds. Mensah is a powerful prospect with shattering hands and a dominant style, that sees him push to dictate the fight and quickly annihilate all opportunities for whoever is stood in his way.

Sam Mensah said:

"I’m really glad I’ve got the opportunity to fight on BAMMA again. I can’t wait to get back in that cage. I don’t know too much about Mike Neun, but from what I’ve seen he looks like a really tough fellow and a bit of a ‘nightmare’ so I’m looking forward to fighting him. I don’t like to predict too much about a fight, but he has a Muay Thai background and looks good on his feet so I think that’s where the majority of the fight will be; but I’m comfortable wherever the fight ends up. I can’t see it going the distance though as we both like to hit, so I’m hoping to put on a good show and give the BAMMA fans what they want to see: A spectacular fight."

Mike ‘Nightmare’ Neun’s MMA record doesn’t tell all about the Keddles and MMA Den fighter. Besides one Pro victory and 3 Amateur wins, Neun brings a longer fighting experience over from Muay Thai with a number of titles to boot: the ISKA Southern Area Muay Thai title, the ISKA Southern Area Semi Pro/Amateur MMA title and the Fight Scene Pro MMA title. With a background that incorporates BJJ, Muay Thai and boxing, Neun likes to launch a striking attack in the cage and his fighting strengths are the knees, elbows and clinch.

Mike Neun said:

"I'm aware of his power and I very much respect that and take nothing for granted. As always I'm confident in my abilities. I have power and I have a varied arsenal and I'm happy wherever the fight ends up. BAMMA’s one of the biggest shows in Europe and I’m very happy to be fighting here and I'm looking to make my friends and family proud with a win here. People say I'm relatively new to MMA with a few Semi Pro fights and 1 Pro fight but I'm no novice: I've been working hard for collectively 10 years on different fighting styles and I love the buzz that MMA gives. They call me 'The Nightmare' because I don't stop coming."

BAMMA’ Head of Talent Relations, Jude Samuel, said:

"I see this match between two powerhouses translating into a fast paced and devastating arms race that will weigh heavily on speed and effectiveness of strikes. While Mensah can be overwhelming in the cage, will Neun prove too much of a ‘Nightmare’ with his greater experience? Mensah’s fight name nicely sums up how I visualize this fight panning out: I can promise fans that there will be plenty of ‘Blam’ ‘Blam’ ‘Blam’ in this clash."
