Caol Uno fought in almost all top MMA promotions in last eight years and now he will be back in Shooto where he began his MMA career.
First time in eight years and six months, Caol Uno will be back in Shooto.
At the Shooto show held this past weekend, Uno was called into the ring, and this was officially announced in front of the 2,000 plus fans.
He will be fighting in the upcoming September 30th show which will be held at the same venue - a Korakuen Hall.
Uno told the fans, "I want to fight, I want to be stronger. I kept saying that like a baby, then I was allowed to stand in this ring. I maybe able to show evolved Uno or I may face a harsh reality. But I want to show my MMA, and my Shooto, in this fight."
In regards to Uno's opponent, Sustain explained its in the middle of negotiation so as soon as its agreed and finalized, it will be announced immediately.
Also, in this September 30th show, Shooto world flyweight (115 lbs) title between the champion Mikihito Yamagami and Junji Sarumaru from Shooting Gym Yokohama is confirmed. Both fighters were also at this Shooto show. The challenger said, "Although my opponent is tough I want to be a champion so I am taking that belt" while the champion calmly countered, "I am going to show a big difference in both grappling and striking departments."
