SHOOTO - 10/27/2012: Less Than 30 Days from the Last Fight Shigeki Osawa Back in SHOOTO

For this weekend's "SHOOTO GIG TOKYO", Sustain, the promoter of the show, has decided to bring back Shigeki Osawa who left a huge impression in the last Shooto show took place on September 30th. Osawa floored a veteran Hiroyuki Abe with one left hook. Obviously this is going to be a quick turnaround for Osawa but apparently he is injury free and ready to take on Yoshifumi Nakamura.

Just like Osawa, a youngster from Mach Dojo, Nakamura, is an aggressive striker.

Both fighters got 14 pro fights under their belts, and they are both in the mid 20's, still, hungry for an opportunity.  Very evenly matched and that is why we can expect an exciting striking battle from these two fighters.

Nobumitsu "Tyson" Osawa was scheduled to face Fumihiko Kawamura in September 30th Shooto show but the fight got postponed to November 11th show because of Kawamura's injury. Then, once again, Kawamura is out due to the knee injury so Sustain booked "Tyson" bit early, in this show, against Kota Shimoishi.

Shimoishi is a 25-year old from team BLOWS who is currently ranked eighth in Shooto's Pacific Rim ranking. "Tyson" told the Japanese media, "It better for me to fight a ranked fighter" so Osawa is motivated to face a 26-year old that went 7-0 in his first seven pro fights. In his eight pro fight, in April 2011, Shimoishi got caught by Hiroshi Shiba's triangle choke, tasted a defeat for the first time in his pro career. Yet Shimoishi came back strong, won next two fights, but in last month, once again, he got caught with a triangle choke, this time, by Shinji Sasaki.
