Undefeated fighter Cat Zingano added to Invicta FC 3

Cat Zingano might not be making her Strikeforce debut in the near future, but she will still get a high profile fight. She has been slated to face Raquel Pennington at Invicta Fighting Championship 3, which takes place Oct. 6 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan.

Zingano was originally matched with Leslie Smith, but then tabbed to face Amanda Nunes at Strikeforce "Melendez vs. Healy." However, an injury to Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez cancelled the entire event.

"Alpha" holds an undefeated 6-0 record as a professional. Despite her low number of fights, Zingano has been able to defeat several well-known fighters. She holds victories over Barb Honchak as well as Strikeforce veterans Carina Damm and Takayo Hashi.

Pennington is only 3-1, but she has already defeated Kim Couture and ProElite veteran Raquel Pa'aluhi.

In the main event of Invicta FC 3, Jessica Penne and Naho Sugiyama will face off for the promotion's inaugural atomweight title.
